We firmly believe that every company should act as a role model. Companies should not only try to make as much profit and extensive growth as possible but keep an eye on the social needs outside the company gate.

Concretely, Luxilon Industries NV supports the good cause in its own neighbourhood. For that purpose we have called to life a special fund called the Luxilon Aid Fund. This fund collects money from charitable events organised by Luxilon Industries NV.

One of the institutions that received funding from the Luxilon Aid Fund was the Medisch Pedagogisch Instituut Oosterloo vzw that received 5000 euros for the purchase of bicycles for mentally challenged children.

Also Cliniclowns, an organisation of clowns giving acts for children in hospitals, was supported.

Also support went to the ‘Rotonde– het Sterrenhuis’ for their program ‘Fit and Fun’. Sterrenhuis or Starshouse is a house of more than 150 mentally disabled persons older than 21 years.

In 2008, we supported vzw Nieuwe Kansen voor Kinderen www.nkvk.eu and Els Smiley.

In 2009, we supported vzw Vlaamse Kruis www.hetvlaamsekruis.be and vzw Den Engel www.desocialekaart.be/provant/zoeken/index.cfm and then type ‘Den Engel’ and the Comiclowns.

In 2010, we already supported vzw NKVK, a fund supporting children with cancer, by giving them financial aid to support their medical care. Also vzw Den Engel, an organisation helping children between 16 and 21 years old as well in assistance as in housing, the Comiclowns and vzw OVK buy4life www.buyforlife.be, an organisation helping parents and/or sisters and brothers from children that died with accidents.
